Connie and I just finished reading the book, Hunting Season, now the second book we've read by Peter T. Deutermann, and both agreed that is was one of the best books we've read in quite a while. As you begin to read it, you realize that many of its "threads" are based on a series of actual events. He is very good at keeping the story moving with suspense around every corner. We rate it 5-Stars. The first book of his that we read was "Train Man", and we gave that one 4-1/2-Stars. This was even better. I've read that so far he has sold the scripts to three of his books to Hollywood. This one would make a great movie. Let's hope!

"Hunting Season" by Peter T. Deutermann
DESCRIPTION: It's about a dark old man who hates the government badly enough, that he enlists his grandson to help him build a large bomb which he's going to take to Washington. When a retired FBI agent's daughter stumbles into his lair, she is kidnapped. Unable to find her, the FBI gives up on the case, causing her father, an ex-agent, to come out of retirement in a seriously big way.
