After grabbing the first two games of the series in Boston, the Celtics once again had trouble claiming that elusive, all important Game 3 on the road. The reason being, no team has come back to win after being down 3-0.
Ray Allen had his best performance of The Finals, firing off a team-high 25 points, but it wasn't enough as the Celtics were unable to find their offensive rhythm down the stretch, dropping Game 3 to the Lakers, 87-81, on Tuesday. After heroic performances in Games 1 and 2, while battling through a knee injury, Paul Pierce managed only six points in Boston's first game in L.A.
But the Lakers did not show us that they can beat the Celtics convincingly. Much like the Celtics' did in their victories in Boston, the Lakers grabbed a lead, seemed in control and then had to hold off the opposition. After three relatively tight games, this is beginning to have the look of a long series. Here's to a win on Thursday!
