Price of Gas

Someone sent me this with the title - "Gas Humor" saying that it was just a little humor to help ease the pain of your next trip to the pump... These examples are not intended to imply that gasoline is cheap; but rather to illustrate how outrageous some prices are.... This makes one think, and also puts things in perspective to other things we buy.

Diet Snapple 16 oz $1.29 .. $10.32 per gallon
Lipton Ice Tea 16 oz $1.19 .........$9.52 per gallon
Gatorade 20 oz $1.59 .... $10.17 per gallon
Ocean Spray 16 oz $1.25 ........ $10.00 per gallon
Brake Fluid 12 oz $3.15 ..... $33.60 per gallon
Vick's Nyquil 6 oz $8.35 .. $178.13 per gallon
Pepto Bismol 4 oz $3.85 .. $123.20 per gallon

Evian water 9 oz $1.49..$21.19 per gallon!
(And this is the REAL KICKER... $21.19 for WATER and the buyers don't even know the source. Evian spelled backwards is Naive.)
Average cost of printer ink .....$5,200 a gallon

So, the next time you're at the pump, be glad your car doesn't run on water, Scope, or Whiteout, Pepto Bismol, Nyquil or God forbid, Printer Ink!

Of course there is always the thought as to how stupid or gullible the average person is. There are at least seven items on the above list that we don't ever buy, that many persons buy every day and don't even give a second thought to. I still don't know why they didn't include Starbucks or any of the other fancy coffee establishments. Their stuff has to come in at around $30.00 per gallon. If most people gave up the these discretionary purchases, they would probable have plenty of money to spend on gas!
