REVIEW: This was the second movie in a row that we rented that ended up being a foreign made film with sub-titles, albeit, unlike the last one, this one was all sub-titles, which somewhat takes away from the flow because you have to concentrate so much. Again, we were surprised. Even though it was a relatively low budget movie, the story is good enough to keep your interest. We gave it [3-Stars]
SYNOPSIS: A Jewish master forger and criminal, Salomon Sorowitsch (Karl Markovics) is picked up by the Germans and placed in a concentration camp. Assembled at the death camp, is a cadre of printers, artists and chiselers -- which end up being led by the opportunistic Sorowitsch -- and tasked with counterfeiting currencies to weaken Allied economies. But will Sorowitsch's conscience begin to gnaw at him as the war draws to a close? Eventually he must choose between abetting the Nazis and saving his skin in this taut Oscar-nominated drama based on a true story.
