Netflix Movie Review - “Changeling”

Movie - Changeling REVIEW: This movie, based upon a true story, was outstanding in every way. First there was Angelina Jolie who, playing the part of the mother of a kidnapped boy, was more than deserving of the nomination she received for an Oscar. Next, was Jeffrey Donovan, who convincingly played the role of a corrupt police captain. Finally, there was John Malkovich, who co-starred as the crusading reverend who came to Christine’s rescue. We both though it was one of Clint Eastwood’s finest movies yet. We give it [5-Stars].

SYNOPSIS: Christine Collins (Angelina Jolie) is overjoyed when her young kidnapped son Walter is brought back home. But when Christine suspects that the Walter who was returned to her isn't her actual child, the politically corrupt police department, not willing to admit that they made a mistake, led by the Captain (Jeffrey Donovan) refuses to listen to her pleas and does everything they can to discredit her. In a final attempt to “shut her up” the Captain has her committed to an asylum. In the end, John Malkovich, a minister with a popular radio ministry and staunch crusader against the corruption within the police department, comes to Christine's rescue in this gripping, 1920s-set drama.
