BOTTLENOSE DOLPHINS IN THE SAVANNAH RIVER
Pods of bottlenose dolphins swimming up and down the murky Savannah River next to Georgia’s third largest city are barely noticed. Although decades of research suggest they are intelligent, creative, emotional beings, comparable souls to our own, they are submerged underwater most of the time, free from the complexities of being dehydrated bi-peds. Dolphins have brains as large and complex as humans. They have had these brains 30 million years longer than we have had ours.
