Movie Review - “The Blind Side”

REVIEW: For once a movie that lived up to all the reviews and hype.  Sandra Bullock presented an outstanding performance as the adoptive mother of a homeless African-American teenager. I thought the movie had a slow start, however it seemed to get better as it went along. I've seen some reviews that bash it for not being accurate to its true life story; that too much was changed to make it a little "gooshy".  Regardless, I liked it.  All of the characters carried their respective parts so well that they actually made it believable. it is so well done, that it should not be missed. We give it [4-Stars]

SYNOPSIS: "The Blind Side" depicts the remarkable true story of Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home, taken in by the Touhys, a well-to-do white family who help him fulfill his potential. At the same time, Oher's presence in the Touhys' lives leads them to some insightful self-discoveries of their own. Living in his new environment, the teen faces a completely different set of challenges to overcome. As a football player and student, Oher works hard and, with the help of his coaches and adopted family, becomes an All-American offensive left tackle.
