Dining Review - “Silverado Steakhouse”

silverado-room
Located inside the Southpoint Casino, the Silverado Steakhouse follows the tradition of Las Vegas’s fine dining steakhouses by offering all the charm and service that discerning patrons have come to expect. Hand painted mural scenes and vintage photographs line the walls above plush high backed booths, providing an intimate meal in an elegant yet unpretentious setting.
The menu, designed to offer the best in American steakhouse cuisine, centers on top-quality steaks and chops, fresh seafood and continental dishes. We started off with the Lobster Bisque with Cognac ($8). Not only was the presentation lovely,.it was filled with enough lobster pieces that you were able to enjoy them right down to the last bite. Certainly we would have to rate it as some of the best we have ever had. Next came a huge salad which was tossed tableside in an absolutely delicious house Vinaigrette. Without a doubt, the best “house” salad we ever experienced. For the main course we both had the “Filet Trio” ($28); three Filet Mignon Medallions on toast points, each smothered with generous portions of Béarnaise, Roasted Garlic & Mushroom Sauces. The large baked potatoes were split open and prepared tableside with a generous portion of whipped butter and chives. Ordered “medium rare”, both meals were cooked to perfection.

The portions were so large that neither of us could finish them. We had to skip some really tempting desserts and ask for a “doggy bag”. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and can’t wait to go back again. Next time we just might get two orders each of the Lobster Bisque and a nice glass of wine; it was that good! We rate it [5-Stars].
