Movie Review - "Traitor"

We were quite pleased with this movie which takes quite a few twists and turns and ends up with some pretty good action scenes towards the end. We thought Don Cheadle gave a very good performance. We give it [3-1/2 Stars]

Description: "Traitor" stars Don Cheadle as an American citizen and devout Muslim who has moved overseas and become involved with an extremist group. When strait arrow FBI agent Roy Clayton (Guy Pearce) heads up the investigation into a dangerous international conspiracy, all clues seem to lead back to former U.S. Special Operations officer, Samir Horn (Don Cheadle), a mysterious figure with a web of connections to terrorist organizations. Has he really turned into a fanatic or is he a double agent for the American government - or does the answer lie somewhere in between? As various characters debate these possibilities - including Guy Pearce, who gives his FBI agent a vague Southern accent, perhaps to keep himself awake while espousing generic FBI speak - "Traitor" devolves into a series of turgid debate scenes. Rated PG-13 (violence, language); 114 minutes.
