Netflix Movie Review - “Marine 2”

Movie - Marine 2
REVIEW: The storyline of this movie is neither clever nor is it very inventive.  It does however, like many similar films, allow for the presentation of fast paced action and some hardcore violence. It's the presentation that really makes this film work. The movie looks and feels hugely theatrical despite its lower budget. Some of the cinematography is absolutely beautiful.  There is a well struck balance between fast-paced edits and lingering, well-orchestrated camera moves. We both thought it was better than the original production.  We are both suckers for a good, violent action movie and give this a strong [3-1/2 Stars]

SYNOPSIS: DiBiase stars as recon sniper Joe Linwood whose off-duty vacation to Thailand with his wife finds them embroiled in the middle of a hostage situation at the massive resort at which they're staying. When a separatist group sieges the resort during its gala opening, Linwood's wife is among the hostages and Linwood escapes to plan the eventual rescue mission. With the eventual aid of another ex-military American on the island, he ends up leading his wife and her fellow hostages to safety.
