REVIEW: In one sentence it is violent, full of profanity, often pretentious, yet entertaining. The film is fairly good at capturing the volatile and deadly world of one of New York’s most dangerous precincts through the eyes of the men and women pledged to protect and serve, as they face the wrenching choices that make them Brooklyn’s Finest. The strong cast and well-shot New York locations pretty much overcome the lack of a good script and any real originality. Though a good effort, it still doesn't quite make the grade of being much more than an average cop movie. We give if [2.5-Stars].
