SYNOPSIS: Located in the Town Square Mall, the main “hook” of this chain bar/restaurant is beer, lots of beer; yet it also serves up some pretty good fare. If you like beer, this is the place to go. Immediately on your left, just as you walk is the “beer” room, a room which is full of kegs and plastic tubing which runs in the ceiling through steel pipes directly to the huge bar. This design is a sure "selling point." There must be well over a hundred beers on the menu, most of which you can sample in “goblets” during happy hour for a fraction of the regular price. As previously noted, there's some great food, like pretty fancy macaroni and cheese and a wide selection of burgers and pizza (bar food, but done classy), as well as some really good entrees. There are lots of flat-screen TVs, some nice wood flooring or accents or walls, we're not really sure, whatever. On a whole the dinner hour is a bit too noisy for us, however we have been a couple of times just because the food is so good. We’re thinking next time we will try it for lunch. Obviously the main attraction here is the beer.
REVIEW: On each of the two visits we’ve had here there were four of us each time, which provided us with the opportunity to try out and see a variety of their dinner meals such as the fish and chips, two different chicken dishes, a shrimp and pasta dish and their turkey pot pie. Connie liked the PARMESAN CRUSTED CHICKEN, served over garlic mashed potatoes, sun-dried tomatoes and three mushroom sauce so well that she ordered it on both visits. I especially liked the VODKA SHRIMP PASTA, chopped shrimp and angel hair pasta in a light vodka tomato cream sauce. Dusted with parmesan. Each meal was prepared surprisingly well, and on two occasions were large enough that we had to get a “doggie bag” to go.
