Dining Review - “Mimi’s Cafe”

Mimi's Cafe SYNOPSIS: This makes the fourth time we have eaten here and I decided it was time to provide a review. Mimi's Cafe is a chain restaurant. The Simms family opened the first Mimi's Cafe in Anaheim, California in 1978. Each of these chain restaurants presents a colorful French-cottage themed building with lush gardens and an eclectic interior. In 2004 they formed a partnership with Bob Evans Farms. Today there are over 130 locations in over 35 states. It has certainly earned a reputation amongst the older generation as a restaurant that provides large portions of good quality food in a warm and friendly atmosphere for a reasonable price.  This was certainly evidenced by the fact that the majority of patrons the last several times we dined here were definitely in the “senior” category.

REVIEW:We have been here twice for breakfast, served all day, once for lunch and once for dinner. The food on each of these visits was always served hot, of the highest quality, and with an appealing presentation. Not "gourmet" food by any means; just good 'ol family style cooking. The interior is warm and friendly with a large number of booths providing cozy and relatively quiet dining. The only complaint about the service is the time it sometimes takes to get your meal when the place is busy. Other than that the wait staff is very good. Overall we have to give it good marks for consistently. With three Las Vegas locations, the one we frequent is located on 596 N. Stephanie St., Henderson, near Sunset Station.
