| This Fall’s exhibit is one of the most beautiful we have been to. There were multiple opportunities to take dozens of pictures. The first one below is my favorite of the day. Caught with the sunlight highlighting the center of the pumpkin array, it captures the essence of Fall. The remaining pictures that follow are just a random sampling of shots that I captured on the visit. Some are so beautiful that it is hard to imagine that they are all taken indoors. |

 Naturally, the highlight of the exhibit was “Samson”, the Tyrannosaurus rex. The 66 million year old dinosaur is 15 feet tall by 40 feet long and is one of the largest ever discovered. The female skeleton is made up of 170 bones and is more than 50 per cent complete. Its head is undistorted and one of the most complete in existence. Samson was found in South Dakota, United States, in 1987 and excavated in 1992. During the Cretaceous Period - between 145.5 and 65.5 million years ago - Tyrannosaurs occupied a position at the top of the food chain. Its massive skull and powerful serrated teeth could bite through the leg bone of any dinosaur living at that time. |

Each year we go down to view the flower conservatory at the Bellagio. They change out the entire area four time a year, usually picking a seasonal theme. We thought this year’s Christmas display was better than average and decided to share a few pictures with you. Hope you enjoy

It’s too bad that most of the snow on all the trees melted before I was able to get out and take some pictures. Some of the pictures on the right appear to be “cut off.”

On Father's Day we attended the Jazz Sunday Brunch at Terra Verde, Green Valley Ranch's signature Italian restaurant and had nothing to say but good. We had the lobster and asparagus omelets with Bloody Mary's. 
The big surprise was the quality and professional presentation of jazz guitarist/vocalist, Calvin Brooks. Providing the perfect dining music, his rendition of Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World", received a standing ovation. Every Sunday from 10:30AM to 2:30PM, through the end of October, you can listen to relaxing music while you enjoy delicious entrée's and decadent desserts. For reservations, please call 617-7075.
