If you're into DRM-free music, you have a reason to get excited. Songs from Amazon MP3 can be played on any MP3-capable device, including iPods™, Zunes™, Zens™, iPhones™, RAZRs™, and BlackBerrys™. All of their files are free of digital rights management (DRM) software, so you can burn your songs to CDs, play them on all your computers, and transfer them to all your devices and, all songs are encoded at 256 kbps, which means you get high audio quality at a manageable file size.
The site features over two million songs from 180,000 artists and 20,000 labels, all without the painful and annoying restrictions of DRM. Musopen is an online music library of copyright free music (public domain music). They are dedicated to giving the world access to music, without the legal hassles so common today. There is a great deal of music that has expired copyrights, but almost no recordings of this music is in the public domain. Their aim is to record or obtain recordings that have no copyrights so that site visitors may listen, re-use, or in any way enjoy music. Put simply, their mission is to set music free. This is a great "quick and easy" program for formatting RSS feeds to show up the way you want on your website or blog page. An RSS Feed is a dynamically generated summary (in XML format) of information or news published on other web sites- so when the published RSS changes, your web site will be automatically changed too. Think of it as a box you define on your web or blog page that is able to update itself, whenever the source of the information changes, your web page does too, without you having to do a single thing to it. For bloggers, this works great for adding a sidebar section showing the Recent Posts to your blog.
It is a rather simple technology that allows you, the humble web page designer, to have this content displayed in your own web page, without having to know a lick about XML. This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version. This is the best blogging "help" sites that I've found. So far, it has given me the answer to every question I've had on how to do something, with simple to follow, step-by-step instructions. It showed me how to change my template to a 3-column format, how to set up and add certain feeds, and other formating techniques. I recommend it to anyone who is using Blogger by Google.
